Crazy couple of weeks

It has been a crazy couple of weeks. My mom in law came to visit us from SA for a two week holiday which was lovely. I have been knitting up a storm, including dishcloths which are my new favourite thing to knit. I am slowly trying to replace all my kitchen and bathroom cloths and sponges with knitted cotton cloths. I had a hard time using the first one, it seems like sacrilege to use something so pretty to clean! But...I have got over it and I love them. I finished Savanagh's birthday presents which included the blanket, a kimono and two washcloths and I think they were received well, I couldn't really tell to be honest. I have joined the Ravylmpics and I can't wait for it to start on the 8th of August. I have chosen a pattern which I think is going to be a real challenge to finish in 17 days!! We went to the zoo on the last day of my mom in law's holiday and got a good pic of a my husband , oops I meant a gorilla. We also had this freaking enormous bee come into our garden the other day. I am from South Africa and I have NEVER seen anything like it. It was huge!!!

Beautiful..

The rain stopped long enough this afternoon for me to venture out into the garden/swamp. One of my roses just looked so beautiful that I had to take a photo.

Half finished projects

I have half finished projects taking over my world. I knew this would happen if I started too many things at once. Hopefully, if I am really disciplined, I won't start anything else until they are all done. I have 4 projects all screaming to be finished and not enough hours in a day to get them done. Savanagh's secret project is about 65% done and that HAS to be finished by the 19th. I was very surprised to learn that my sister reads my blog, I am very pleased that I had the willpower not to post a pic of the secret project up here. Sam, the photo is especially for you LOL!!
